Time for another cereal commercial.
Back in the early 2000’s General Mills redesigned Sonny the Cocoa Puffs bird to make him more “Hip”, “Radical”, “Totally Tubular”, and “EXTREME” in an effort to try to make the commercials more modern.
This commercial in particular says that just eating a bowl of Cocoa Puffs can improve your skateboarding skills (I tried this, it didn’t work).
Luckily this formula only lasted a few years before General Mills redesigned Sonny again and made the commercials more similar to the ones in the early 60’s.
The thing I like about the coco puffs comercials is that they knew it was unhealthy. They didn’t try to sugar coat it (haha) they strait up said that it was full of chocolate and very chocolaty.
