I don’t really see how the fact a female artist friend made the shirt for him really negates what was awful about wearing the shirt in the first place.

Everything going on in the world and we’re all arguing about a fucking shirt. Isis, who cares ; the stuff in Ferguson, nah no big deal; starving people across the globe, fuck them. Let’s argue about a shirt.

That’s what really kills me. People can get upset about the shirt all they want. It was pretty unprofessional of him to wear it in the first place. But to completely ignore the bigger picture about accomplishing the next big step in space travel, and instead attempt to disgrace the man, his team, and this entire achievement based around anime tits? That’s just sad.

This man just took us into the future of astronomy, and he should be honored as such.

Let’s negate human progress for misplaced feminism and death threats from wannabe murderers. If you were against this person for his shirt and gender rather than congratulating a scientific milestone, kindly go fuck yourself and never speak to me.
