i just
dislike the idea that a ‘happy ending’ is base and boring
that an ending that is depressing and angsty and full of darkness automatically makes it “something more”
I prefer bittersweet endings.
Like, yeah the great evil is gone but the protagonist lost his arm, there’s still some of the lesser evils roaming around and some main characters are still dead.
