I give people the benefit of the doubt and don’t call them an idiot, thereby ruining my argument and trying to make myself like superior. I’m still willing to speak with you calmly without the use of insults.

The fact you’re resorting to calling people idiots because you think you’re in the right and better than them, it makes you a bully.

Just because people don’t feel the same way you do, it doesn’t make them idiots.

There’s seriously no reason to insult them.

That’s like 

“I don’t like pickles, aren’t pickles disgusting?!”

“Actually I like pickles.”

“Wow you’re a dumbass then, stop acting like such an idiot. Think of all the people who don’t like pickles. Do you know there are people who have a phobia of pickles? Consider those people.”
