katniss is such a good character like there is no doubt in my mind that shes one of the best protagonists to be presented to an audience like especially to other young girls but its weird that the book basically clearly says ‘she is a disabled aromantic native american woman with ptsd’ and the movie is like yes clearly we can ignore literally all of that 

It’s actually quite interesting how the media completely ignores one of the messages of the series and does exactly what the inbook media does. Focuses on the relationships rather than her trying to take down a broken government.
