feeling weirdly hesitant to continue supporting either inés estrada or adventure time’s own michael deforge after their proud display of unified support for lizz hickey & her aggression towards people who are financially struggling
i guess i got fucked up and acted totally out of line thinking that people who financially depend on the generosity of internet strangers (inechi / michael) would experience empathy towards others who rely on the same mode of survival

its really genuinely scary and sickening to be ust now learning how prevalent the derision for people in poverty is within the alt comics scene? like maybe i was expecting way too much but the fact that like two of the most celebrated people in this community can fall in line right behind lizz hickey openly mocking minimum wage workers is ….. well i dont have any words for it
the fact that none of these visible & established community members feel any need for accountability while actively supporting a hostile environment towards low-income people.. is really really really extreme and exactly why this post still desperately needs visibility
