Even Valka waits for Astrid’s signal; it’s her husband’s funeral, but deep down the greatest loss is on Hiccup’s shoulders. Losing the one parent that’s been there all his life, under those circumstances and in such a critical time of his life… It’s Astrid who is closer to his heart.
