funny how people will go on forever about shakespeare creating words that still exist in our lexicon as a sign of his genius, but will do anything they can to discredit, and laugh at, words like ”bae” or ”turnt” - and any other words commonly associated with AAVE and blackness - because they’re just ”not ‘real’ words” and, when associated with black, rather than white, skin suddenly become a mark of unintelligence and lack of creativity
