i mean maybe it felt rushed because you talked about this main villain for 5 books and then used like two pages to kill them but sure thing blame it on your passionate readers who are the main reason you are still able to write
Seriously ? “It’s not the way I write, it’s the way you read ?” Not being able to hear criticism and belittling anyone who dares a not-entirely-positive comment is not a good sign in an author/artist, and blaming the readers for one’s shortcomings is downright ridiculous. RR’s condescending sarcasm and his recent poor writing really put me off. If you’re trying to lose readers, it’s working on me… (Also not trying to write several best sellers a year might help with the rushed feeling problem. )
I like the buildup to Kronos’s revival and the whole battle in manhatten was the buildup to the grand finale where kronos was defeated by the true hero. I don’t think that his writing was rushed, I think it was reading it fast that was rushed.
Also the movies. The movies were rushed and stopped all buildup to the two main plot points. Kronos being revived and the great prophecy. Because they revealed both in the second movie. Fuck the movies.
