The Best Birth Control In The World Is For Men by Jon Clinkenbeard

If I were going to describe the perfect contraceptive, it would go something like this: no babies, no latex, no daily pill to remember, no hormones to interfere with mood or sex drive, no negative health effects whatsoever, and 100 percent effectiveness. The funny thing is, something like that currently exists.

The procedure called RISUG in India (reversible inhibition of sperm under guidance) takes about 15 minutes with a doctor, is effective after about three days, and lasts for 10 or more years…

Oh, and when you do decide you want those babies, it only takes one other injection of water and baking soda to flush out the gel, and within two to three months, you’ve got all your healthy sperm again.

The trouble is, most people don’t even know this exists. And if men only need one super-cheap shot every 10 years or more, that’s not something that gets big pharmaceutical companies all fired up, because they’ll make zero money on it (even if it might have the side benefit of, you know, destroying HIV).

Maybe more reblogs then?  Up to a million at least.  We have this technology to get the word out and change the world.

This kinda stuff proves why the pharmaceutical market REALLY sucks. Long-term solutions and even straight up cures are tossed to the side because they simply don’t make that much money for them.

a-random-mod

Remember when medicine killed off polio? Remember how much money the pharmaceutical market lost? They will never make a long term solution because there’s no money in it.

rosexknight

No yeah seriously. The guy who made the cure for polio was asked how he wanted to patent it. His response was basically “Why the hell would I patent this people need it get the fuck out.” And it was a HUGE loss for them. It’s retarded and scary how much they control when there’s no universal healthcare.

Like, take diabetes. Yes there are ways to keep your sugar under control but you need insulin. So you have to buy it from a pharmacy. There are a million brands of this shit but I cannot stress how worthless that is because INSULIN IS INSULIN! So the brand you are with raises its prices (Yes they can do that) and you’re forced to either pay more or go to another brand.

What if they all choose to raise their prices? Like yeah there are laws against it but still. It’s a really fucking scary thought to know this industry basically controls you when you need medication to keep you alive/healthy.

That’s because america likes to make people pay to just exist. That’s also why the greedy asshats like to paint the word “socialism” as a bad thing when it’s basically, you are given what you need to live. You just have to work for luxuries.
