I’m not misreading you, I know exactly what you’re trying to say. You even say it AGAIN in that second-to-last paragraph.

Sorry for swearing but it’s seriously a disgusting attitude. You don’t go “but it’s baaad that she gets criticism, everything she’s told must be positive!”. No, no it musn’t. That bullshit doesn’t help her improve as an artist or as a person. It’s like something I remember you saying, if a child starts screaming and crying for something you don’t hand that thing to them to shut them up, because then you’re only teaching them that the best way to solve their problems is to make a scandal about it.

Oh, and using her mental state as an excuse? That’s fucking low Jitters. You don’t say you want her to be treated like a normal person and then be like “can you not criticise her because she just got out of a mental hospital”. I’m not saying it’s bad to get criticism. I’m saying it’s bad to complain without giving a reason or a solution. It doesn’t help ANYONE improve ANYTHING. It is NOT helpful, it WONT get the commissioner what they want, it WONT make the artist’s job any easier.

Are you feeling okay? You seem really agitated and it’s stressing me out. A lot. Because I have no idea how to communicate with you right now, as you seem very deadset on a specific thing that I’m not saying.

Being stressed out is most definitely a reason for anyone to be irritable. There’s nothing “low” about admitting that someone is likely not going to be in the best state of mind after a mental breakdown, and you need to treat them as people.

Not machines you payed to spit out whatever you want with perfect precision.

So stop telling me I’m saying not to criticize her. I’m saying not to treat her like an art slave who is capable of giving someone what they want when they wont SPECIFY what the problem is in the first place and opt instead to simply complain that “they don’t like it”

I’m really disappointed in your actions right now and the way you’re treating this. Please back up a bit and think it over because I think you’re honestly off on a tangent and aren’t understanding that all I’m saying, from the start, is to show artists respect when you commission them and work with them if something isn’t satisfactory.

Because otherwise, you’re just going to look like a demanding dick who just wants to complain rather than understand the person you paid is in fact a human being who might not always get everything right.
