Whoa. What's with all the America hate all of a sudden? If it's because of the whole Politics thing, then just don't pay attention to it. I sure don't... though, to be fair, it confuses me a lot of times and I find it boring.

Oh no, can’t hate America

That’s so unpatriotic

Just ignore the errors in the system of America that are hurting you and everyone because we can’t have you be unpatriotic.

Nope

/sarcasm/

Seriously though, Really dislike when people get all offended/frightened when people hate America… When their reasons for hating are very legitimate issues that seriously need to be addressed and fixed. Turning a blind eye will just dig our grave further until America falls too far for us to be able to fix things.

I feel like America love is like stockholm syndrome sometimes

I’m preeeettty sure it is. I mean think about it. All our lives we’ve been brainwashed to love America.

Throughout school from kindergarten and forward, we were all made to stand and say pledge allegiance to the flag every morning to the miniature American flags that hung in every classroom. We all know the words by heart.

We’re all told and made to believe that  /anyone/ that hates America is a terrorist.

We’re all told and made to believe that it’s the /President/ that is the most important figure in the government that has the power over everything, especially with media boosting their election coverage to all hell. Only really finding out that Congress has MUCH more control when we get into highschool.

We all know at least one patriotic song by heart, word for word.

We have someone sing the song before every sports game.

It’s pretty damn scary

And other countries look at us with pity and concern most of the time

One thing that really scared me was when someone drew a classroom and then someone not from america was asking why there is just a flag there.

That was really shocking to learn that we were the only country that does this shit. And then things begin to fall into place.
