I’ve never understood how “casual” is supposed to be an insult

It’s a way to separate “real” gamers from “fake” gamers.
Ah yes, ‘real gamers’. 100% farm raised organic gamers. None of that ‘fake gamer’ high fructose corn syrup allowed
But… But shouldn’t people BE playing in their free time? I mean, games are supposed to be fun for one thing but the other thing is that if it is taking up your life (Unless you are payed to play games) then it can be unhealthy.
Don’t “real” gamers only play in their free time?
