The year is 2064.

Reggie Fils-Aime is 103 years old, kept alive only by a complex life-support system connected to his wheelchair.  He is a shadow of his former self.

But today, that all changes.

His assistants wheel him to the lab, where a new vessel for his mind has been constructed.  A perfect fusion of flesh and circuitry, this new shell will make him more powerful than he ever was before.

"Finally," he wheezes through his respirator, "my body… is ready.”
