I guarantee you that it is not and people “choosing” to not be cis/het because they think it would be cool just make it harder for those who actually aren’t cis/het. It actually makes life harder because when they act like it’s a choice, it fuels the mindset that it’s a choice and then stupid shit like ocnversion therapy can get away with abuse.
