I have heard that looking at a bright light before bed can help prevent sleep paralysis, I'm not sure if that's true or not though. It's also more likely to happen if you sleep on your back apparently, or if you're stressed or have an irregular sleeping pattern/are sleep deprived. I've had it once before, as long as you know what to do it's not as scary as it sounds.

I’m sure that would work if I didn’t my insomnia wasn’t back.
