Here is how tumblr really fucking feels about people who actually are disabled.  Are mentally ill.  Actually have PTSD.

First I see the video, I turn on the audio, and I think, "Man, this guy is really aggressive and threatening, what’s wrong with him? This isn’t just road-rage, is it?”, I think it’s kind of pitiful that he’s so overcome with rage, that he can’t control himself, but I learn that he’s suffering PTSD, and shit, now I feel so sorry for him, his heart is probably racing, his mind going back to whenever, whatever happened, he hasn’t got a good grasp on this situation because he just fucking can’t function normally. And then the shame (and fear) afterwards when he eventually comes to his senses.

And we have chucklefucks, dipshits, and human trash on this website, treating this as if it’s some fucking quirky thing to pretend to be. It doesn’t make you mysterious, it makes you a shallow piece of shit needlessly muddying the waters for some very serious mental unhealth.

No, you didn’t get PTSD from twitter, no, you don’t have any fucking triggers, you worthless sack of shit, THIS MAN, he has triggers, his mind went back to his trauma, and fucking look at him, he’s not acting, he’s not pretending, it’s not a cool thing to him, he can’t restrain himself, he was ready to instigate violence. Shit like this could get him killed, it’s tragedy.

This. THIS is my problem with Tumblr. It’s not “okay” to be normal anymore. Oh are you a completely accepted, healthy, functioning member of society? Well you’re scum.

They have turned being “unhealthy” into “cool” and now EVERYONE has something wrong with them. Oh do spiders make you uncomfortable? Clearly they’re your trigger. Go rant at someone for not tagging a picture of one. No. That’s not a fucking trigger. A trigger is something that sends your mind and body into a flurry and makes you have a panic attack.

Have you ever actually SEEN someone with PTSD have an episode? This is seriously what happens. I’ve seen my bf have two. Not as bad as this, but it’s still really fucking scary. You feel helpless because there is LITERALLY NOTHING you can do for them. And then you little shits rant at someone (like me) for not tagging a post with food because “it’s your trigger.” No. You don’t have a trigger. You just want attention and to feel important. You are not a special snowflake. Go sit the fuck down and let people with REAL ISSUES get the attention they need to overcome them.

Seen people go through those sort of episodes? I’ve had them. It’s not pretty. It’s not funny. It’s sad. It’s very sad, losing yourself as your mind goes back to your trauma, losing yourself to the rage. You’re back in that moment, all you can do is lash out, all rational thought is gone until the episode ends. The best anyone around you can do is keep you from hurting yourself or others, because your moral compass is gone. You can’t see ahead. You can’t comprehend even the concept of consequences. All you see is the enemy. Or the abuser. Or a life or death situation. Whatever caused it in the first place. And all you can think about is attacking back.

Worst, you can’t see that the people who are trying to hold you back or trying to talk you down are trying to help you, and you could very well hurt them in the process.

And then after the episode passes, the only thing you can think is, “My God, what have I done? What could I have done?”

For fuck’s sake, people. The man in the video doesn’t need to be ridiculed, or painted with the “white douchebro” brush. He needs help. He could well get himself killed if he has an episode near someone with a weapon who doesn’t know what’s going on, or he could kill someone else if the episode is bad enough.

If this is anything, it is truly tragic.

Even if the guy didn’t have PTSD, he still had the right to be pissed. The dude in the truck rear ended him while his wife and child were in the car and then refused to get out and take responsibility. The person refusing to get out of the car is refusing to take responsibility for the fact that he could have seriously injured the guy in the family.
