Calories not grams
Lets check the original statement using Google and a little math.
Steak has roughly 283 calories per 100g of Steak (source)
Broccoli has roughly 34 calories per 100g of Broccoli (source)
Steak has 26 grams of protein per 100g of Steak
Broccoli has 2.8 grams protein per 100g of Broccoli
(as seen in the photos presented earlier)
We are looking for Protein per calorie. That’s Protein/Calorie.
26/283 = .09 grams of protein per calorie of steak
2.8/34 = .082 grams of protein per calorie of broccoli
By that math
Steak has 9 grams of protein per 100 Calories and
Broccoli has 8.2 grams of protein per 100 Calories
The original photo is wrong.
Don’t get me wrong, I like broccoli, especially with cheese, but you can do things with meat that tastes better.
also, don’t flat out lie to people when trying to make a point.
