I always see people asking, “How do I choose a kitten that will become a loving and outgoing adult cat?” Here is my foolproof, never-fail method: 

  • Step 1: Go to your local animal shelter. 
  • Step 2: Adopt a loving and outgoing adult cat.

Adopt a kitten
Be a good petowner

Well, the problem you presented was choosing a kitten that will grow to be a loving and outgrowing cat. By adopting an adult cat, you are skipping the kitten part entirely and therefore is not a valid answer.
