Here’s more advice I like to give:

If you think your art looks bad, then that’s good! 

Why?

Because it means you have the artistic ability to recognize that something doesn’t look right! It essentially means that you’re improving.

That’s why most artists are down on themselves, because their minds are usually ahead of their hands artistically, and it takes a while for the hand to catch up.

Never be afraid to draw outside of your comfort zone. Try new things until you find what feels right. Always experiment.
