My favorite thing about the Steven Universe fandom rn is that no one seems to hate Peridot… but everyone likes to rag on her.
Shes the butt of every joke and its hilarious.

Peridot is like the anthropomorphized version of the “And then there’s THIS asshole” meme.

It’s because she’s not evil, she’s just trying to do her job.

If your job is trying to take over the world and eradicate the human race, I’m pretty sure you majored in evilness.

I mean, yes, you’re considered evil to the wildlife critters who used to live in the forest you just bulldozed to build that new Walmart, but you’re still just doing your job.

Not to say Steven and company shouldn’t try to stop her, I’m just attempting to explain why the fandom doesn’t seen to hate her very much.

My personal theory is that it’s because she’s a polygonal nerd with all the enthusiasm of an old man at a birthday party.

That’s hilarious.

I think it’s more like a college student who works at retail and is absolutely done with everything.
