“Hey everyone, Dipper here. I haven’t written in this book for a while, but I think I’m on to something big with that mysterious blobby image that appeared in this very book!
My theory is that there was once a librarian who visited Gravity Falls
around fifty years ago.
While he was in town, he accidentally slipped through a trans-dimensional tear in reality,
and he has been trapped in another dimension parallel to this one! Over the years, he has slowly learned how to communicate through multiple dimensions but his methods are crude and messy..
probably because he’s developing a whole new type of technology as he goes a long!”
- Dipper Pines (from “Dipper and Mabel’s Guide to Mystery and Nonstop Fun”)

okay okay OKAY I uhh.. well, I was thinking. All the things Dipper said in the text seemed pretty consistent with the plot revealed so far—except for the last part where, “over the years, he’s slowly learned how to communicate through multiple dimensions but his methods are crude and messy”. I mean, I don’t think there was any evidence or even the slightest bit of clue of him trying to communicate with the characters in any episode at all. But then something hit me, what if he wasn’t trying to communicate with Dipper and Mabel. What if.. he was trying to communicate with someone else..?

Do you know what appeared out of nowhere almost two years ago?
