YEAH I’M TOTALLY HAPPY PEOPLE CARE MORE ABOUT MY WORK THAN MY OWN MENTAL HEALTH OR GENERAL WELL BEING
I TOTALLY LOVE THAT THEY DON’T GIVE A SINGLE FUCK ABOUT ME AND ONLY SEE MY WORK AS SOMETHING TO ENTERTAIN THEM RATHER THAN AS HARD WORK BY A SIMPLE HUMAN BEING WITH HOURS, DAYS, MONTHS, EVEN YEARS OF EFFORT, SWEAT, BLOOD, AND TEARS PUT IN TO IT
A HUMAN BEING WHO SUFFERS FROM INSOMNIA, MENTAL ILLNESS, AND TRAUMA
Sorry for the all caps but I have every right to be upset when day in and day out I get at least 5 people demanding I work faster
Demanding I give them more of what they want rather than what I want
There is a difference between loving my work, and people obsessing over it to the point where they take everything for granted and just want more and more without appreciating that it exists in the first place
It sucks
It’s painful
It’s dehumanizing
