leelah’s suicide was a fucking tragedy. stop framing it as something necessary for the trans movement. stop. stop. stop. a trans teen girl killed herself, stop framing her as a hero. it only contributes to spikes in other trans suicides, especially for young trans teens, because the way people talk about this makes it seem like the only way to make any progress in the trans movement is for trans youth to kill themselves
