A thing to know about OCs. When life is good, nothing changes. It’s just the status quo. You don’t see them taking risks, you don’t see them pushing towards a goal, you don’t see them in all aspects of their character.

Throw a roadblock there, a bump in the road. Make them suffer? They learn, they grow, they change into something beyond simple description. When I made Rorshach? He was just “psychologist” made to fulfill a purpose. Now? After Happy Thoughts, Discord Whooves, Spinel, and BroSlate universes? He has become a stallion with too much pride. He lives to be a martyr for his beliefs. Ponies seem to flock to him for him “will do” attitude, never letting anyone but himself decide his limitations even if it is for his own good. He needs others to reel him in or he will destroy himself for the greater good. He loves others so very much, but forgets to care about himself in the process. None of these discoveries would have been made if Rorshach lived a worry-free life.
