The wizards refuse to advance. They refuse to give up on old ways or try to understand how muggle life works. They sit there thinking “ah they will never understand the complexity of magic” and yet never even try. They are arrogant and think muggles are simple and yet we could have probably gotten rid of the dark lord military power if it came to it. Wizards have not advanced in hundreds of years and they are assholes. When muggles advance enough to find the magic world, they will probably not only study magic in a scientific way but also develop ways that they can use them. Then who will be the simple ones, huh?
