When a clutch of deppling hatches, the mother Depp takes care of them and places them in the role that the mother has. In this case, the mother depp is in the role of captain jack sparrow. This is just so that they may survive to maturity. When the depplings mature, they will go out and discover whichever role suits them best. This may include but is not limited to, Edward scissorhands, Willy Wonka, Mad Hatter, Sweeny Todd and many others.
