American higher education baffles me. The best universities in my country are completely free, and even the private ones are not so expensive that it’d force someone to incur in debt.
Could someone tell me how much US students pay to attend college? In Canada, colleges tend to be 3-5K a year, and universities are 5-7K.
Most schools are between 40-60K. Some (like NYU and a few others) are more.

holy crap! in the UK it used to be 3-4k but now it’s about 9k and rising. jesus i didnt even know it was that bad america so sorry
When are we going to do something about this
Never because congress is terrible at making decisions
Never because education is just another business in the eyes of the government. It’s all just a way for rich people to make a lot of money off of people who have no money to spare.
