How would one go about becoming friends with you?

Is it that hard to figure out? Like, in high school do you approach the cool kids and be like “Hello, elite school goers, where might I find the paperwork needed for me to connect with you and share your interests? I’d like to schedule an interview if possible”

Listen, you don’t become friends with people on the internet by asking if you can become their friend, or HOW to become their friend. It almost never works. All it does is make the person think “this guy doesn’t actually want to connect with me or have casual conversation, they just want the friend “title”, probably so they can get free art or nudes.“ Like, obviously they’re not all like that, but it feels like such a lazy attempt at friendship that you can’t help but doubt.

You make friends the same way you did in kindergarten, high school, at your job, and in real life. You start conversations. You inquire and share stories with eachother and connect about interests. You spends lots of time talking and getting closer.

You don’t just ask “can I be your friend.”
