She was the daughter of the 1st AD, who had asked if he could invite her to shadow him because she wanted to be a 1st AD. I was happy to oblige. In between shot set ups, an art department PA takes notice of her talking to the 1st AD and leans in to me – the director, a woman, and a mother – and says, “He must love putting it in her ass.” 

I turned to him and calmly spoke: “I’m going to tell you two things right now and you had better pay attention carefully:

One: That’s his daughter.

Two:  YOU’RE FIRED.”
