i originally drew this comic to express my feelings in art rather than words and it got tens of thousands more notes than i expected
it makes me sad that so many people can relate to this
please don’t hesitate to reach out to people if you’re having problems; people care for you and love you and want you safe and happy, i promise.

it’s beacuse many of us are raised to hide our emotions because life sucks and we have to get through to it. We have trust issues because parental figures neglect our mental health and if we can’t trust them, who can we trust?
We are taught to internalize our problems because whatever is going on with us isn’t as important as what’s going on in the world because people have it worse.
