Filming the police and other injustices and exposing them through social media is this generation’s defining symbol for social change, agoodcartoon

my first thought too. you can’t even say they’re supposed to be taking selfies, since they’re not holding the camera the right way for that. you could also argue that none of the previous symbols there had half as much concrete effect on the country

From what I can tell, a lot of the people criticising this generation are from the 80s

funny how they left out what their symbol for social change was. But I guess there isn’t much need for major change when you don’t have wars, the economy is good and people can easily find jobs and pay for higher education.
