Except no he’s not. Octopi have 8 tentacles and squidward only has 6, his four leg tentacles and two arms.
The creators of the show said he was an octopus but they gave him 6 tentacles because it was easier. So, no, he’s not a squid, just a slightly deformed and oddly named octopus.
I wonder if I can somehow turn this into being like that time people were rying to convince people that obama was born in kenya considering octopi are like super terrorists in splatoon.
