Martin Sahlin, the Nervous Yarn Man behind Coldwood Studio’s “UNRAVEL” is a really cool guy, it turns out.

So I, like many others I’m sure, was immediately struck by how passionate and humble the game developer behind UNRAVEL (a game about a little red yarn person who travels on a journey through a beautifully rendered world to reconnect the threads that make up human relationships) was when he presented his game to the audience at E3. So, I decided to do some research to see if I could find out more about this fellow and what sort of work he does. I am very glad that I did. If you go on his twitter account (@monkeybeach) or his tumblr (@macopaco) you’ll notice that aside from being SUPER PASSIONATE about game development and game theory, he is also very vocal against police violence and oppressive systems, very anti capitalism in gaming, pro-feminist, and is the creative head of his own small development company called Coldwood Studios, from Sweden.

Basically, follow him on social media, buy Unravel when it comes out, and support him in everything that he does because he is a genuine, good person who really cares about games and also really cares about people.
