Silver Tongue
I work in the food industry as you know. One day, this woman comes in with her two children. One was a toddler and the other was maybe seven. Well, she gets the child seat and you would think she puts her toddler in it. You would be wrong. She puts her purse in the child seat and her toddler on table. I repeat, the table. The toddler sits and stands on it. Spreads mayo on the table and walls. Gets footprints on the table and hits the lights. And the other kid was holding the ice machine open.

OMG. Okay people that don’t take care of their kids while out in public DRIVE ME CRAZY!! I HATE IT when parents disregard their kids and the kids tear stuff up.

Just today I was working with a parent n the return and the toddler’s wandering around and looking at some ink cartridges we have on display. He decides he wants to see what’s in the box so he rips open the package. Dad didn’t notice but mom came over with ANOTHER kid and noticed. Didn’t even apologize. Dad did.

Another time I was out with B at a Zaxby’s (chicken restaurant) and there was this like five or seven year old with his mom and dad. Dad was ordering while mom was on her phone. So the kid’s walking around the restaurant and every once in a while mom would get the kid and sit him on the bench and tell him to sit unti the food was ready. So B and I get our food and sit down and I’m like “Oh shit. Napkins.” And I get up and go get some. Well the kid decides to round the corner as I am and just before I go to sit he reaches out to grab one of my chicken fingers, putting his hand all in my plate. I snatch his hand away with a “Hey bud those are mine.” As B’s going “Hey!” Mom comes over to get the kid. Doesn’t apologize. Meanwhile my plate is now inedible because I don’t now where the hands of that kid has been. Luckily the manager saw and got me more chicken and as we were leaving without a word I just dropped that plate on their table.

Like, I swear MOST of society’s problems today can be attributed to shit parenting.

There need to be more stores with the “we have the right to refuse service to rude or irresponsible customers” policies.
