today is a day for celebration, not for shouting about how there are other issues and that the fight isn’t over yet

so many people reblogging this with salty ass comments about how this is a bad post because “homophobia isn’t cured and it throws those problems under the bus” like did you even read this fucking post? I never said we were done, I said take a goddamn minute to be joyful that this huge step - and it’s a huge step forward - is really happening.

Also, as for companies being able to fire someone for their gender or sexuality…

You can sue the company if they try that. and if the court rules with the company for some reason, you can keep taking it to a higher court until it ends up at the surpreem court. You know, the court where 5 of the 9 people decided that gay marriage should be legal because same sex couples should be treated as equals.
