Okay, but as queer person who was born and raised in Texas and STILL LIVES HERE, why is this funny? This isn’t funny. This is sad.

Also, there are some counties in Texas who are still issuing marriage licences regardless of what the governor wants because they’re actually FOLLOWING THE LAW. One of those counties is the one I lived in for 10 years.

So thank you to my home of 10 years, Travis County, for supporting LGBT+ Texans across the state, and thank you, tumblr, for forgetting that there are LGBT+ Texans who are illegally being barred their new rights to marriage equality and deciding to make a joke out of it.
