As a person who works in retail (AKA one of your “Flipping burgers” jobs) I can say I TOTALLY deserve $15/hr for what I have to put up with.

Also most people “flipping burgers” need $15/hr because of the fact that they have to work TWO jobs to support their families due to the fact that this is the only way to get money if you don’t have a degree.

you do realize that most EMS personal work two jobs right? working longer shifts then service workers and having less time to see that family you speak of…..go down to your local fire department or ems provider and ask the people in those jobs what its like to make the same as a “burger flipper”

It’s hilarious that you throw that fact at me because my father just so happens to be a firefighter who drives an ambulance. Yes, he has to work two jobs just like most of them, but they’re only at the station every three days, meaning that time you claim they don’t have to see their families isn’t a thing, because they don’t work their second job ALL the time. For instance, my dad used to work at Best Buy and he still had plenty of time to see mom and my sister and I. So that argument is invalid.

Also, because most firefighters and EMS providers work two jobs they’re not gonna give a shit if their second, part-time, “burger flipping” (because that’s what it is unless they’re lucky) job pays the same as their other job. They’d probably like it more actually.

I asked my dad, and he didn’t care that people wanted minimum wage for “burger flipping” to go up, he cared that your dumbasses thought an EMS worker only deserved $15 an hour.

I DO NOT BELIEVE YOUR FATHER IS A FIREFIGHTER AND I DO BELIEVE YOUR A LITTLE CHILD FOR EVEN MAKING UP SUCH THINGS

I said nothing about them having a “cushy” job. I KNOW it sucks. I’ve seen my dad get emotional due to stress. I only said they were at the station for three days. Don’t twist my words. But you’re the reason we people in retail and food service don’t get the respect we deserve. Just because you’re a firefighter (convenient, really…) doesn’t mean you’re better than us. I hope you fall off that high horse of yours really soon.
