Then the church got involved to make it a union between two people in love granted they were opposite gender. Then debeers capitalized on marriage by telling people it’s not valid without a shiny rock on a shiny metal ring. but yeah, now marriage is a union between anyone who loves each other and that’s what matters most on the subject.
