By no means should any of this mean a ticket to dodging criticism (see: the steak and the chef, you don’t have to be a chef to know if you don’t like the steak). Criticism is welcomed and encouraged, dislike is to be expected - entitlement is a different story. What qualifies as entitlement depends on whoever’s talking, as well as whoever’s receiving. 

Telling a content creator that you feel like their content quality has taken a dip and you as a donor feel as though you’re not really getting what you paid for, refunding your pledge or turning AdBlock back on, ultimately is alright. Telling a content creator they do not deserve to be given a dime from Youtube AdSense, donations, Patreon, or any attention whatsoever because what they’re doing is not a “real job”, while you sit for 30 minutes to an hour laughing at the content they’re uploading, feels like entitlement.
