my toughest round yet.

So I was playing rebirth and selected a random character run. It came up as lazerus. I was not having good luck. Floor 1 I encountered on the first room I went to. I managed to beat him and get the left hand. Now, I like to have guppy runs. I like getting guppy items. I think that the red chest means I will get guppy faster because you can get guppy things from red chests. Boy was I wrong.

Anywho, item of the first floor is the yum yum heart. I use it immediately so that I’m back at full health. I get to the first boss and it’s larry jr. This was fairly easy and I got a decent item from it which gave me two soul hearts. I also found an eternal heart in a secret room earlier so I went and got it to make me have four hearts.

Second floor was a bit tougher but once I found the item, I was happy. It was quad shot. The boss was double red monstro and I maid fairly quick work of him. A devil room opened up and I got the dead cat without hesitation because I am want guppy. 

Well, Third floor is where shit hits the fan. I finally died and used up my lazerus life. so now I’m down to the cat lives. I’m not having luck with any of the items and I’m stuck with yum yum heart. I make my way down and defeat the boss and it drops an eternal heart. now, I’m pretty sure that devil rooms only open up if you don’t lose a red heart of damage during the floor so I”m pretty sure it’s krampus. I avoid the eternal heart and go in to make sure. I was right. he drops the coal. I go back to get the eternal heart dropped.

Well I make my way down level by level, almost always on the verge of death and most of the items aren’t that good like magnet, picese and aries but I somehow make it to blue mom with only about 5 lives left and one heart. It’s pretty tough and honestly, my yumyum heart is what saved me. I beat her and head to the next level. now, I’m lucky here that a red chest FINALLY gave me something that’s usefull. or it would have been had I not already been two levels away from beating the game. I get the goat head and am a little peeved because I could have used it earlier. The boss is death and I manage to beat him and hte devil room doesn’t have any good items. Just a familiar and pentagram and I only have two red hearts at this point so it’s not worth it.

I make my way down utero II and find a key begger. Now this is good because I have a bunch of keys. Of course he drops a bunch of red chests because I have the left hand still and the first one is bombds that kill him before I give up all my keys. I walk out with a few soul hearts thoguh. Now the boss. I didn’t realize I unlocked it lives and I’m sure I’m gonna die. Hell, I was sure I was gonna die three floors ago and would have if not for the dead cat. Somehow I beat him and am shocked. I go to the cathedral because I had already beaten shoel 4 times (courtesy of the goat head) and the negative can wait. I wanted to finally face isaac.

unfortunately the cathedral is cursed with the curse of the lost and I have no idea where the fuck I’m going. So i make my way down, I snag a 48 hr energy pill and save it for the isaac fight. Welp, I finally get some soul hearts and face isaac. The yum yum heart is super usefull as I almost die and I manage to beat him. It was super tough but the first time I beat a (almost) final boss without being guppy.
