Actually taco bell was rejected from mexico twice. The first time was the 90s and all the stores closed after two years and the second time was in 2007 in mexico city where it lasted until 2010. they were too “americanized” and people in mexico city prefered to have real mexican food. 

In the late 80s, pizza hut tried to open a few stores in italy but went bankrupt fairly quickly due to teh inability to keep up with competition of real italian pizza. 

So yeah, taco bell and pizza hut are just as american as KFC.
