I don’t understand. How can she be anything if she’s not really a she. let me explain. Gems have no sex. But they identify as Girls mostly with the exception of Steven. So really if they choose to identify as girls. And Pearl sees no romantic conection towards men. But on 2 occasions shiwed slight interested for Garnet. And many for Amythest. Is she not gay? Or just thirsty.

If you identify as a girl, then you are a girl.
If you identify as a boy, then you are a boy.

If a woman dates other women, she is lesbian. If a transwoman dates other women, she is lesbian. If she dates men, she is “straight”

Also Steven is a entire debate and discussion on his own. His very existence shouldn’t exist, and it throws off all existing “rules” and standards.
He is half Gem: who have no “real” sex, in the traditional human sense
(but they still so far all identify as female),
The other half is human: who are born with specific sexes
He was born male (as far as we know) and identifies as such making him cismale
(there’s a debate waiting over Gems and gender, especially how it applies to Steven being male, but like I said that’s another discussion)

Well I understand all of that but the touch on is Pearl is gay or ace. They’re is evidence she has no sexaul attraction for boys. With her avoiding Magor Dewey and Greg. But when it ces to interactions with the other gems she has been known to blush or get embarrassed.

If you mean gay as in part of the LGBTQIA spectrum, then yes. Asexuals are gay. On whether she is lesbian or ace? I definitely agree with a-random-mod that she is probably demisexual, but that is my headcanon. And I’d be willing to debate it with you.

Ugh this makes my brain hurt more than math. Even though I’m bi sexual I’m not really an expert on this whole LGBTQIA stuff. I do know that just because an Asexual dates or has sex that doesn’t mean they’re not Asexual.

It’s okay. You don’t have to be an expert. And Gems are complicated, which makes it confusing.
But I think we’re over analyzing it.
Basically if you are not cisgender heterosexual heteroromantic you are part of the LGBTQIA.

It’s fairly simple when you get down to it. She’s only shown attraction towards rose. She didn’t show any attraction other than platonic, motherly or addiction to the power in the case of garnet and sardonyx to any other character. Lesbian would mean she shown attraction to girls other than rose. The fact that she only had feelings for rose in that kind of way is why she is demi and with rose dead, she there is nobody she is attracted to in that kind of way.
