whats up with the door to the crystal gem house

which side are the hinges really on

I like to imagine it’s because the gems don’t know their own strength sometimes (esp Garnet) and they’ll just constantly rip the door off its hinges (and also rip off the hinges too) and just never put it on the same way w/o really noticing
