You know what? No.

I’ve bottled things up for most of my thirty years on this Earth because I didn’t want to be selfish.

Now, the stress has broken what ability I had to muscle down ANYthing and carry on. I’m unemployed for a while to let my body recover, and that’s something I wish I didn’t have to deal with, and I’m not about to wish that on any of you.

If you are genuinely, honestly, on-the-edge breaking down, LET IT OUT. Sob into a pillow, blast that music, draw, write, eat, and please, tell someone.

It can be a crisis hotline, it can be your blog, it can be your secret blog tagged with the words “help” or “sad” or something like that. You are allowed to cry, to grieve, to hurt, to seek help when you can’t deal with it alone. Many of you are teenagers, and you worry about appearing a certain way in front of your friends, your peers, your family. Don’t worry - you are not alone in this! All I’m trying to say is, reach out. You’ll be surprised to see who reaches back.
