As I pointed out: It’s not a trans issue.
It’s an issue of shaming femininity.
People don’t quirk a brow and think a girl dressing up boyish makes them trans
But the moment they see a guy dress feminine, holy shit the flood gates open wide and people scramble to insist he’s trans even if he clearly does not identify as a female.
Because otherwise, men dressing as women is ‘weird’.
People doing this harms both the drag community and the trans community because they’re essentially shaming men for dressing/acting like women and will only accept them if they are transwomen. Otherwise, they get tossed in the heap as ‘anti-trans’ because they’re ‘making fun of us’ but that isn’t what drag is and it’s seriously not okay to make claim on what certain genders should wear and act like.
Big Mac wasn’t even mistreated. He was still let into the competition and the only reason he was disqualified was because he destroyed the equipment and was a bad sport.
