Let’s see, it’s the most overrated crackship I know of besides (VinylTavi). I’ve seen fans of DocDerpy go up to people using the Doctor/Derpy without using the other pony and constantly ask “hey where’s derpy?! Doctor needs to have her as a companion!” or “hey Derpy do you have a crush on the Doc?”. I’ve seen fans of it go in the comments of @whoovesnassistant‘s (sorry for tagging you, please ignore my rant) videos and get angry at anyone who ships Derpy with Tick Tock or the Doctor with Tick Tock.

@jitterbugjive has a doc who beats derpy to a bloody pulp every time he sees her and yet people still try to put them together. That’s how rabid the fans are. Hell, even after the canon doctor whooves is ace and their relationship is confirmed platonic, people still try and ship them.

like I USED to ship DocDerpy because I thought it was cute (only certain videos like “Derp she is” still hold up to this) but the fans just have to bug anyone who doesn’t ship them. Just like with Fluttercord and Chessiepie this ship is mostly ruined for me.

Shippers are so quick to ship because it looks cute on the surface that they don’t even think about what that relationship would entail. hell, even the vinyltavia shippers are bad because before the 100th episode, all depictions of vinyl and octavias relationship was abusive where vinyl would hurt octavia, say sorry, have sex and do the same thing again.
