like seriously I’ve been beating myself up a lot because it wasn’t the intention at all but nope fucking takes quadruple damage out of nowhere and suddenly I’m an asshole

That’s usually how it is with most playthroughs the first time. It catches everyone off guard. It’s designed to make you feel bad for doing it.

then why react like ‘tell me you didn’t’ when pretty much everyone generally does it the first round when they don’t really know what the endgame is?

Because I’m playing blind here, I purposefully avoided spoilers and playthroughs and anything involving Undertale so I could get a raw play how I wanted to play it and not how anyone else says it should be played

And according to other folks, the neutral end is the end people are generally supposed to get the first round so I didn’t really do anything wrong here

I’ve only seen up until the town. I never cared enough to avoid spoilers until that point.
