First, I want to apologize for the way I acted regarding the episode the last few days. I was unable to enjoy it at first initially due to certain circumstances and was actively looking for reasons to hate it and that was wrong of me. I really hate myself for acting like that.

Now, I thought about it and realized that the process by which someone does what their talent is doesn’t matter, the end result does. Twilight had destroyed a school before getting a mark in magic and dash nearly killed fluttershy before getting her mark so it doesn’t really matter that troubleshoes got arrested before being helped to find out who he was meant to be and babs was nearly killed before being helped to find herself. I can get behind these cutiemarks.

Now, the music. The music has been better than some of the more recent episodes. I enjoy diamonds part of the election song. It has a nice beat and I like the insturments. I also like the harmony of the chase song.

One thing I still think is that it couldn’t have hurt to be a two parter with one episode being just about the election and ending with the introduction of diamonds mom and then the second episode being completely about diamonds redemption. It would make her arc feel smoother.

I can say now that I do actually like the episode.
