hey i saw u reblog some art from an artist called dennybutt and jsyk she's rly ableist so maybe consider not reblogging stuff from her in the future ok thats all thanks
oh I didn’t know that. I won’t support her if that is true, but I’m asking out of curiosity do you or anyone have sources/links of this? I’d appreciate it
*internally screaming*
Can people stop having grudges on me for not tagging the colour blue that one time oTL
I originally had saved this image up to post when needed. And I feel like the moment has come. Show some support to Denny!
She’s a great artist and she doesn’t deserve the crap she’s being given. Don’t let over-sensitive people ruin your blog and your fun. If they don’t like it then they can look away.
I originally was not intending to butt in, but are people seriously sending hate over not tagging specific colors now? Are people really becoming this sensitive? I mean, what the actually fuck. People are free to post whatever the fuck they want on their blogs, and if you don’t like it, there’s a pretty button called “Unfollow” or heck, even block if you prefer to not see their stuff appear on your dashboard. Stop hating artists for doing what they want to do.
Seriously, people. Fuck you if bully someone who just draw because they like it.
personally I consider it ableist to treat mental illness like we’re all sensitive, pathetic creatures who need protection and can’t even handle the smallest little things. It doesn’t help us, it makes people less likely to give help because they’ll just think we’re asking for special treatment
We don’t want special treatment
We want to be treated like normal people.
I’m glad that works for you personally, Jitters, but there are people who ARE still sensitive and it’s really not cricket to call them pathetic creatures who need protection just because they react poorly when people shit on their self-esteem when they ask for help controlling their exposure to things that cause them to have attacks.
Recovering from shit is still a process, you know.
I’m talking about overreacting to something like tagging a fucking color.
There aren’t tags IRL, life doesn’t work like that
even the SKY is fucking blue, so if someone is so messed up that they can’t handle a color that’s not really anyone else’s fault. They need to get serious help if it’s REALLY that bad.
But to call someone ableist because they don’t feel it makes sense to tag something like a COLOR is basically bullying someone who did nothing wrong in the first place.
There are limits to this kind of thing, and going on a crusade against someone who had no ill intent in the first place when there are people who are actively out there trying to harm mentally ill folks isn’t ever going to help any of us.
Also please don’t misword my statements, that’s another issue on this website, I didn’t call anyone pathetic, I was saying “don’t treat the mentally ill like that”. I get people are sensitive but when folks make it out like people are so sensitive that anyone who doesn’t 100% cater to that sensitivity is an ableist piece of shit, there’s a problem.
We need respect and understanding, if someone is seriously messed up over a color they need to be encouraged to get help for it, not bully random people online to cater to an honestly impossible to control issue.
Again, IRL doesn’t use trigger tags.
Albiest is ignoring the voice of people with mental problems under the guise of helping them.
I am Silver Tongue, I am an artist. I have many characters and you can check out my art in the art tag. I occasionally practice witchcraft though I don't do anything too complicated. I am girl 2 and don't know what else to put here.
